Lillian crawls! 7 1/2 months

Shhh mom, I'm on the phone!

Lily is 6 months old!

Lily's 6 month old doings:
-Weight: 15 lbs 2.5 oz (31%)
-Length: 24.75 inches (10%)
-Head: 42 cm (33%)

She's a squishable nugget - following in her big sister's footsteps of being a shrimpster. Lillian is super active - she rolls rapidly in all directions and can pivot 360 degrees and scoot backwards. I'll put her down in the middle of the living room and 30 seconds later she'll be behind a chair in the corner. She is just starting to rock up onto her knees - this kiddo is going to crawl before we know it. She'll sit on the floor and play with toys for up to 20 minutes. This is nothing short of a miracle in our house.
We are full steam ahead with solid food. She gobbled up a jar of baby squash tonight...but isn't so sure about prunes. Who can blame her?
Lily is energetic, determined, snugly, and so totally lovable.

5 months, 25 days
Lily bug has her first tooth!! It isn't visible yet, but it is definitely there. I think she is hoping that biting on the elephant's trunk will help her feel better...

The many shades of Lily cuteness

Lily at 5 months! She can roll across the living room in about 15 seconds and almost sit on her own. Yowza.

Bea reminds of us the stuff she is made of...

Bea is headed back to Children's Hospital today for a follow-up VCG exam to assess the state of her ureteral reflux problem. In preparation for her noon appointment, she had to have no food since last night. I fully expected that this would be challenging for a 3 year old who is food-centric, but she was amazing this morning and "played and played and played" as she likes to say. Bea and Ian are off now for the appointment where she'll be lightly sedated for the procedure. As the nurses put it, we get to see what our kid looks like drunk. Funny or scary? Anyway, this appointment is minor, but I am, nonetheless, in awe of my Bea.
