Anonymous gift for Bea & Lily

Thanks to the Bea & Lily fan out there who sent the wonderful books. There was no packing slip, so we don't know who you are!

Lillian is 6 weeks old

Lillian is a perfectly healthy 6 week old! At her doctor's check-up today, I gleefully responded "absolutely none" when he asked if I had any concerns about her health. She is (currently) sleeping well, going from about 10-3 each night and nursing well. We've both finally gotten the hang of it and (most of the time) it is actually quite relaxing to nurse. She smiled for the first time a over the weekend and I can't wait until we see more of her face all lit up :) Her stats are as follows:
Weight: 9.8 lbs
Height: 21.5 inches
Both are about the 35th percentile, so she still qualifies as a nugget.

Nicknames for the girls

Julie and I gave the girls funny nicknames last week to suit their current predominant personality traits. Here they are:

Beatrice: Frenzia Loquacia
Ruby: Contenta Whinea
Lillian: Consuma

The Chicago Crew Comes to Town!

Aunt Julie, Uncle Brian, and Ruby came to visit us last week. We are all so sad they are gone, especially Bea, who keeps asking when Ruby is coming over. The cousins had a great time together, with only a few squabbles over purses and who got to push dolly in the stroller. Julie and I got to steel away for a little sister shopping (with Lillian in tow, who is currently a great shopping buddy). Wish we lived closer...
