Mother's Day weekend 2012

Lily got glowing reviews from Dr. Tom, especially for having a Buddha belly. Here are her stats:

Weight: 22lbs 2.5 oz (64%)
Height: 29.25 inches (52%)
Head circumference: 45 cm (43%)

She is walking comfortably and can even pick up some speed
She shakes her head "no" and nods "yes"
She says Mama, Dada, uh oh, and 'ah-doon" for 'all done'
She understands lots of words, like sippy cup, water, blocks, up, down, swings, cats
She has 8 teeth - and maybe more but I can't get my finger far enough in her mouth to check for molars
She LOVES to play with blocks and will build for 30 or 45 minutes
She loves to play with balls (Ian is hopeful he'll have a soccer player after all!)
She does NOT like having her diaper or clothes changed and puts up a mighty protest until I pretend to eat her toes, which makes her laugh
Her favorite foods right now are scrambled eggs, mac & cheese, bananas, and crackers (the doctor assured us that she really can't eat too many eggs)
She adores Beatrice and can make her smile like no one else can

We are so blessed with this little girl!

Happy 1st Birthday Lillian!

We wished our amazing Lily a Happy 1st Birthday yesterday! The celebration was great fun - Lily and Bea's best buddies Griffin and Beckett came over (with their parents) and Nana and Walrus joined the party as well. Lily didn't do the cake smooshing like her big sister did on her first birthday, but her eyes got big and she clapped after tasting the cake.
